Negaraku Ciplak and The Parlimen Show

Was watching TV3, and they were showing the report from Parlimen. And the issue was the national song ciplak lagu hawaii.. called Mamula Moon.

The member of parliament was from Kinabatangan. He always voiced his concern in the parliament lately, maybe since he knows it is going to be shown on the national TV. No harm to get some airtime right? And he was so pissed off about Radio ERA airing the Hawaiian song and asking listeners of their opinion about it. Hey? What's wrong with that?

Here's my take. I heard the song before, and seriously, it really sounds exactly like Negaraku. Saling tak tumpah org ckp. And if you ask me again, the Hawaiian song really sounds better than Negaraku (tak berniat nak mencerca lagu Kebangsaan!). So, what that hyped member of parliament should have done was, he should have asked whether it is true that Negaraku 'ciplak' that Hawaiian song, rather than the 18th century French whatever? Rather than asking Rais Yatim to take action against ERA. Beside, where's the freedom of speech (do we have any, tho?)

Don't get me wrong. I don't mean to be disrepectful towards our national anthem. But, something like this came up, no harm in checking what's really going on. Don't get too emotional.

And talking about that parlimen show, I guess members of parliament got nothing to discuss about rather than talking about the toilets condition in the Parliament Building. And there goes our vote!!

Bila le aku nak minat ngan politik ni!! Politician = Woman, Can't live with them, and can't live without them!! hehe...
